Project Linus Anne Arundel County  
We meet the third Saturday of each month at the Community Center in Severna Park from 10:30 until 12:00 we always have some project going on, labels to sew and just socialize about our blanket methods. Blankets can be crocheted, knitted, sewn, tied or quilted. Must be homemade, washable, all new material and kid friendly ( soft material and colorful) and can really be any size. (usually starting at 36 x 36) Our national website at http://www.projectlinus.org which has some links with blankets suggestions.

AARP Annapolis Chapter #680 will hold its monthly meeting Jan. 12 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1101 Bay Ridge Ave. Trips and membership sign-up will be held at 12:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 1 p.m. and speaker Jill Bezek, Department of Aging nutritionist. This meeting is open to all local and national AARP members and includes refreshments and socializing. Participants should enter through the church's front door to the basement. "Strategies in Emotional Regulation" - 14, 2 hour sessions Mondays beginning January 12, 2009 from 7PM to 9PM - South River High School.

The mission of CSC is to empower poor and low income families by providing them with education and services to improve their lives. Proceeds from the CompassionPowerWorkshops go to help provide Free education, services and materials (books and CD's) to poor and low income families involved in or at risk for Domestic Violence.
